Watching the end of Donkey Kong Country, Cranky Kong says he beat this game with one life, under an hour. I’m just wondering if anything happens if such a feat is completed.

I haven’t heard anything. I think the best reward after doing that is just the sheer brilliance you bring to the game if you can beat it with one life in under an hour.
I don’t think so. Cranky just brags and stuff.
Although I’ve heard of a cutscene you can unlock like that. Just not sure if it’s the same game.
