Rainbow Road Through the Years
A look at Rainbow Road through the years. Rainbow Road first appeared in Super Mario Kart for Super Nintendo (SNES) in 1992. Since then, it has appeared in every Mario Kart game. It also made an appearance in an F-Zero game. One lap of each course is shown in this video, for all of the console versions plus the GBA game. (Sorry, I was not able to include the DS version). The games shown are: 1992 – Super Mario Kart (SNES) 1997 – Mario Kart 64 (Nintendo 64) 1998 – F-Zero X (Nintendo 64) 2001 – Mario Kart: Super Circuit (Game Boy Advance) 2003 – Mario Kart: Double Dash (GameCube) 2008 – Mario Kart Wii Please note that the years listed are based on the North American release. Again, I was unable to include the DS game (I did not forget about it). I do not own a DS system and I do not have the ability to directly capture video from a DS anyway. This video is about the CONSOLE versions of Mario Kart. The GBA game is included as a bonus since it can be played on the GameCube console with the Game Boy Player adapter.

I LOVE the GameCube one! It’s so colorful and pretty, and the most fun!
nothing beats the old N64 Rainbow Road…by far my favorite.
The N64 rainbow road is my favorite. It’s so nostalgic. I was to young to play mario games because I was 3 at the time but I would always love it when my older sister would play. I was amazed by the colors. I haven’t seen it again until this video. Thanks for the memories. (Ps. I also love the fact that the mario characters heads would light up I think they should include that in the next Kart game. Also the wii one is my favorite I cant choose between the two they are equally beautiful. ^ u ^
@sora432: Well that’s their problem if they choose not to look in the obvious place for the answer to their question.

@mattdog750 It was mine too when i was a little kid
I always hated the part in MK 64 where at the beginning, you were practically gliding down the steep hill… Anyways, it’s still my fav, because it was just epic at the time it came out, plus it was my first ever Mario kart that I ever played.
nice video. but you forgot the ds rainbow road
did you know…in the f-zero x expansion kit there’s a remix of rainbow road from mk64? that music would make better than the one that plays at 2:58 (“driving through on max” or whatever it’s called) also thanks for uploading
Mario Kart 64 had the best rainbow road
Awesome! But DS has Rainbow Road, and WHAT is that at: 2:50-3:49?!

1st most fun: Mario Kart double dash, because it was too epic.
2nd most fun: Mario kart Wii, because it was pretty cool and fun but not rainbow road part because it was hard. (My opinion)
3rd most fun: Mario kart DS, because it was fun but it getting bored.
The double dash version is my personal fave…both with the track and the song.

The N64 Rainbow Road’s music had such a weird ’70’s feel to it. Felt like a gigantic disco highway.
